What Victor Hugo is saying is very true and it makes sense. It makes sense because something can't be partly right, it has to be right a hundred percent. You can not hurt someone, then help them and feel right because you did bad before the right. Doing right is doing right all the time.

Count Leo Tolstoy is saying that those who do good are the ones who live life best. This is meaning by doing good, life will give you what you want in a positive way.

Dean Smith is a great man and he represents himself in the quote above. Dean Smith was an ultimate coach, he knew how to speak to his players, knew how to lead them in the right direction and he knew how to help them outside of the Basketball court. He became very close with his players and had his players see him as a father figure. He did not try to make himself look that way but the players felt so comfortable and were grateful for Smith. He pushed his players to be the best they can, that was not only on the Basketball court. That was in school, persuing dreams and becoming men. He produced great people from the teams he coached and one of the greatest players to ever play the game of Basketball is with him in the picture above, Michael Jordan.

Mark Twain says always do right because doing wrong leads to worse things. Doing right will lead you in the positive direction you need to be in.

This quote by Marcus Aurelius is defining to choose the right. Doing a wrong action is not something to be glad about, and saying something wrong is the same thing. Knowing something isn't right can only hurt you more.
